An asset is any individually tracked physical item — a laptop, a camera, a piece of equipment. Each item has its own record with a serial number, assignment history, and check-in/out log. Inventory items (like consumables tracked by quantity) are counted separately and only come into play if the Inventory add-on is enabled.
Admin users actively manage the platform — creating assets, work orders, reports, and configurations. These count toward your plan's user limit. Portal users are employees who only log in to view assets assigned to them; they're unlimited on Team and above (capped at 15 on Solo). People added purely so assets can be assigned to them, with no login access, don't count at all.
Billing is at the account level. Asset and user counts aggregate across all companies under your account. The number of companies you can manage is set by your plan — 1 on Team, 2 on Pro, 5 on Premium, and unlimited on Enterprise.
Yes. You can add asset packs on top of your base plan — starting at +150 assets for $15/mo. No hard cutoffs, no forced upgrades just for asset volume.
Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time. Annual plans are billed upfront for the year — you can cancel before renewal and access continues until the end of your billing period.
